The School provides drama training,
both privately and in classes, for all ages. Students study in a safe
environment, and benefit from the confidence, teamwork and individual
creativity that drama provides. Many have gained a great sense of achievement
from the opportunity to take the Trinity Guildhall examinations in Speech
and Drama, Acting Studies and Speaking Skills. Some have successfully
auditioned for full time training at leading London Drama Schools, afterwards
becoming professional actors or drama teachers.
Examinations and productions teach self-discipline and give students
confidence in their own abilities. The classes in drama are fundamental
to the examination and production work within the School. By attending
classes, students develop self-awareness and inner confidence.
Improvisation within the classes gives students the opportunity to develop
their imagination and vocabulary. Students learn to explore and rely
on their own character as opposed to concentrating on props or scripts.
They are given the chance to develop their own material through improvisation,
and to produce live improvisation on stage.
